The Bot

Bot Settings

This is the primary view for starting and stopping the botting ability of Pocket Gnome.

It contains instance-specific options that you use to define how the bot should operate. These settings are independent of those defined by Behaviors, and can be used to tailor the specific actions during a single session of botting.

Botting Features

• Set your Route and Behavior.

You choose any combination of Route and any Behavior for your botting. Have multiple characters you want to grind in the same area? No problem, use different Behaviors on the same Route with no messy reconfiguration.

Don't be pigeonholed into a certain spec or be forced to use specific spells just to bot: custom tailor your behavior to your character.

• Use YOUR hotkeys, not ours.

Pocket Gnome can use any hotkey you wish (and only requires one, not ten!). There is no need to remap your entire hotbar just to bot. This is not a Windows program, after all -- Pocket Gnome is designed to work for you, not against you.

We strongly recommend the hotkey [Modifier]-F13 (if you have it on your keybaord). The Mac WoW client passes F13 directly to the game engine, bypassing the chat window. Using F13 means you can chat with guildies/friends while you bot!

• Define your combat targets.

Tailor PG to your particular environment by choosing any of the three options: "Neutral NPCs", "Hostile NPCs", and "Hostile Players".

Or choose nothing at all if you simply want to traverse the route without stopping to fight (which is especially useful for automating travel over long distances).

• Set combat qualifications.

Define a primary attack distance as well as level range for the bot. Any targets outside this distance or outside the level range are ignored and will not be engaged (unless they attack you first, of course).

If you don't care what level to attack (or are in a generally safe area), leave the level range set to "Any Level" and PG will just kill everything for you.

Also, if there is a pesky patrolling elite in the area, tell PG to "Ignore Elite" mobs and prevent yourself from fighting these units.

• Gathering options!

Tell Pocket Gnome if you want to mine, gather herbs, or skin creatures, and then set your skill level appropriately. PG will automatically determine the correct nodes to gather based on the skill level you define, thus ignoring objects (or mobs) that are outside your skill range. Also see the Nodes section for a more detailed look at how Pocket Gnome can help your gathering!

Queue for Battlegrounds, Automatically

PvP Settings

Pocket Gnome support automatic queueing for Battlegrounds, and it's easy to do. Just select the Battlemaster you want to queue with and press "Start PvP". Then, confirm your settings on the following screen and you're good to go.

Pocket Gnome will queue you, enter the game for you, and then queue again when the game is over. Inside the game, it will run your current Route and Procedure so you don't get flagged as AFK!
